Web hosting review

This web review website was born on early July 27, 2010 after a personal experience with one of the worst webhosting company called hosting company: 247-host.com (I choose them based on CNET references). After paying for a year on a reseller plan (by the way, subscribing for a year seems to be a big mistake in terms of hosting), all my websites and my customer websites were working just fine. After a month, websites start to go down for a few hours, mostly for server automatic processes like auto FSCK (forced into a kernal panic mode), file checks on servers  and sort of maintenance processes.  In time things start to get worse and kind of messages from tech support like *there was an error on this server and we had to do an OS reboot* start to annoy my clients. Plus ”support” service start to become as much as inexistent. Sometimes answers to any questions and queries arrive after 12 to 24 hours, instead of minutes (as it should be on a respectable hosting company).

Ultimately, all my websites start to be severely hacked and populate with viruses, than replaced with other web-sites and mess continue in the worst scenario possible.

Last attacked follow by all my websites completely down for almost two whole days was on July 22, 2010. Of course, after two days where my web-site were down and downgraded by Google, I decided to move from service and ask for refund.

So, I did this on 24 Jul 2010.  I asked for refund and moved on other provider and deleted all my domains from 247-host.com.

After three days they answer to my refund request with this:

*There will be no refund provided. All data was restored on a timely manner as this event of hacking does require for us to go through a process that will restore data on the server and maximize security on the machine which cannot be done within 24 hours.*

Is like saying: ”Hey.. It is more than normal to have your web-site down than 24 hours (in reality it was: 34 hours down for some websites and 49 hours for others). Forget about 99.99% server uptime guarantee. Get the f** out of here… you will get no refund!”

So, after a week of fight with no chance of winning with 247-host.com , I have create this web-site which by the way is at this time hosted at their own hosting company as much time as they keep this so-called hosting open, and force me to stay with them. So, the only hosted domain on my reseller account on 247-host.com is this website: hostingservice.name where I am telling you now how things are working on this Canadian company called 247-host.

Be aware of 247-host company and all companies listed below, since from now on, hostingservice.name will be a service review for the worst hosting companies ever!

My websites (including hostingservice.name) were under attack, hacked and down for 1 day and half, approximately 34 hours. I have left over 4 support tickets on tech support in this time frame and received an answer with *will take care* after 10 hours. And the fix came after 34 hours (from some of my websites after 49 hours).

My websites were overwritten, new websites and htm/html pages added, populated with *.htaccess rules and even my reseller account was displaying this:

If fixing an critical issue were all web-sites are hacked and dead need 10 hours to get an vague reasons from tech and 1 day and a half to fix the issue, I have no reason to use this  service anymore.
